Good thing that RVers plans are made of Jello,
or as our RVer friend Paul Dahl says,
Semper Gumby (or good thing we are flexible!)
Last week we were saying our good byes to
friends, family, and getting together one last time.
Sunday we went to Pastor Hoff's retirement party
at the church.
There were some tears shed as we said goodbye
to everyone there, including Pastor.
He will be sorely missed!
They are heading up to Olympia, WA where they bought a lovely home.
Maybe we'll be in Washington someday, lovely place to visit!
In the meantime I have not been feeling right about leaving
the area quite yet.
We had accepted a job in San Antonio,
and I dreaded calling to back out.
My Mom is okay, getting independent.
We're still helping her out by cleaning every couple of weeks,
and George has been fixing things in her apartment as needed.
We're still at Yanks RV Resort for the time being.
George keeps trying to get us a job here!
To all of you that we hoped to visit,
we definitely need to leave here after Labor Day.
I have doctor appointments that have to be
attended to in Amarillo.
We are also going to be in Pennsylvania sometime in October,
and then try to find a winter job in the south.
Hopefully we'll have more updates!
Yeah, plans sure do change. ;-)ReplyDelete
Glad you got things worked out. Semper Gumby (Always Flexible)ReplyDelete
San Antonio would be a neat place to be but not so much in August I would not think. Always best to follow your intuition if you can.ReplyDelete
There seems to be a lot of that "changing plans" thing going around this year! Maybe you will end up down in Florida this winter?!? :)ReplyDelete
Hope you are both ok, you will know when its time to move on down the road, that's the beauty of this lifestyle.ReplyDelete
