I have a 32 year old!

Yanks RV Resort
Greenfield, CA

Wow, 10 days since a post.
Not busy, just not doing much :-)

Yesterday was my son Adam's 32nd birthday.
I'm too young to have a 30 year old :-)

His girlfriend Jennifer's present to him
was to make him his dinner of choice.
She prepared Osso Bucco prepared with lamb,
her words..

"Making a twist on Osso Buco.

Whole boneless leg of lamb seared in

Berkshire pork fat, braised on beef bones."

It was so delicious!

I had a good time talking to Jen's mom, Martha,
who is also a good friend of mine.
My Mom came, she enjoyed herself as well.

Of course we had pre-meal munchies.

Jennifer made Adam's favorite red velvet cake..

It was nice to be able to spend the afternoon celebrating!

George has been purging things out of the Montana,
and we're selling things that we don't use or need.

Weather is just beautiful today after a week of rain.
There are lovely green mountains surrounding us,
but awful mudslides in other parts.
My son can't get to work in Big Sur as a mudslide
has damaged a bridge 6 miles north of his restaurant.

California weather can be a challenge!

Some birthday fun

Yanks RV Resort
Greenfield, CA

We had some fun times for my birthday.
George bought me a cake, more like Valentine's,
but it was delicious!

Thank goodness he didn't put 60 candles on!

Sunday my Mom took us to Olive Garden,
where we had a nice meal as well as
my free birthday dessert..

The wait staff even sang happy birthday to me :-)

Afterwards we gave my son Adam some moral support.
His 2003 Kia Spectra finally bit the dust
on the way to work!
It was time to see about getting a new car.
He ended up leasing a brand new
2017 Honda Civic LX.
It's just beautiful, and he's so excited to have a new car.

Wednesday our friends Greg & Connie came down
with their brand new Ford 450.
They also bought a new Vilano when we went
to the RV show a few weeks ago.
Now they needed something beefier to pull it :-)
We took a ride to do some wine tasting..

Greg found a new friend!

We went to one of our favorite wineries, Hahn.
The view from their deck is fantastic.

The workers are working on the grape vines,
tying them up in preparation for spring.

I think my birthday this year was pretty nice!

We've been busy doing things at Mom's as well.
Tomorrow there's a tea at church that she and I will attend.

The weather is getting a bit warmer now,
finally in the 70's most of the time.

We hear that they're finally starting to build our new RV.
We're getting impatient! :-)
