Dusting off those bikes

Petersburg Campground
J. Strom Thurmond Lake
Appling, GA

Another beautiful day!

George got his compressor out yesterday morning,
and used it to blow out all the dust out of our fireplace,
air conditioning filters,
and especially our bicycles.
They've been hanging on the back of Harvey since California!
This park has a lot of areas to ride.

We made some lunch, and ate it outside on our 'patio'.

After a bite to eat, we rode around all the different loops here in the park.
There are some nice beach areas..

and nice sites..

Today I think we'll do some exploring.
We both want to take a look at the dam and some trails that are here to walk on.

Glad we are here for awhile!

  2. Thanks for the info on the park and the pics are nice. It does look like a good place to stay for a couple of weeks and the 1/2 price cost doesn't hurt either.

I called today and was informed that if things aren't settled by the 20th the park will most likely shutdown. I am going to keep my fingers crossed.

  3. We loved our stay at MODOC just across the lake. We visited your campground and thought it was very nice. Be sure to go into Augusta and do the river walk. Also Savannah Rapids Park is another beautiful place to visit not too far from you.
