A Columbus Day Festival

Petersburg Campground
J. Strom Thurmond Lake
Appling, GA

We've had a nice couple of days.
Yesterday we drove into Evans, GA
to check out the Columbus Day Festival & Art Show.
It was held at Evans Towne Center Park.

There were quite a few vendors there..

We didn't see anything we just had to have.

There were some cute farm animals..

..and some musicians playing some cool tunes..

We walked around a bit, then found a place to eat called Fatz.
George had a bowl of chili and a side salad,
and I had bowl of potato soup and side salad as well.
We shared some unhealthy cheese fries :-)

Today we took a walk around the campground then sat outside this afternoon.
It was mild today, only in the 60's.
Some of the trees are turning a bit..

Only a few days left here in this perfect site.
Going to have to make the most of the next couple days!

  3. Looks like a great festival and weather. Enjoy your last few days there, trying to get to some warmer weather, with the front coming down it's getting cold here in IA.

  4. What? No camels at the festival? Mike-Mike-Mike would have been disappointed! :cD

  6. Looks like a very fun day. Nubian goats are so cute. I'm envious of your temerpatures. Lows in the 30's here. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Wish David's results would come in so we can hopefully head south.

  7. Cheese fries aren't so unhealthy. You've got your potassium, you've got your calcium. . . . At least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it, ;-)
