Weed, CA
Our trip today was uneventful. We only had 1 1/2 hour trip from Redding to Weed, CA.
George and I killed a little time by getting breakfast at IHOP before we left Camping World.
There were some 6% grades to maneuver to get to Mt Shasta.
We also passed by Shasta Lake on the way.
Before long we had Shasta in our sights..
Just beautiful!
We found Friendly RV Park with no problem.
It is a small park, but lots of trees for shade,
and beautiful views of Mt Shasta.
The temps are cooler up here in Weed. The elevation is around 3400 feet.
Tomorrow we plan on taking the Everitt Memorial Highway as far to the base of Shasta as is passable.
There are some great hiking trails there!
Nothing better than a mountain veiw and that looks like a great one.
