Dinner with a friend!

Loomis RV Park
Loomis, CA

We had a uneventful trip today from Coarsegold, up Hwy 99 to Route 80
to Loomis, just outside Sacramento, CA.

The park is small, but adequate for our visit in the area.

It is pretty hot here this week, in the high 90's, so shade is welcome!
Of course, with the trees, no satellite..but the cable is decent,
and something is wrong with our satellite anyway.
Another trip to Camping World later in the week!

One of the reasons we are in the area is to visit with another friend.
Maryjane and I have been friends since 1st grade when we moved
next door to her family in Bakersfield.
We went through school together, were in each other's weddings,
and she is my younger son Austin's godmother.

After we got settled in today, they invited us over for a nice pot roast dinner.
George and I met their dog Summer too :-)

Maryjane brought out a picture that I had made for both of us years ago
of us in our Easter finery..

We are looking forward to spending more time with Maryjane and Mike.
I think there is a little wine tasting in our future :-)

  2. I'm detecting a pattern here...more wine tasting. You'd think you were fond of the stuff! ;c)

I think Camping World is getting too fond of you... :cO

  3. RVing, what a great way to catch up with old friends! I had a shipmate who married a girl from Bakersfield and they have lived there for many years. Maybe we will reconnect one day.

  5. How wonderful to have a friend from first grade. I wish I could say the same. I think it adds continuity to life. Looks like you had a wonderful reunion.
