This and that

Since my birthday post, we have been keeping busy..

Wednesday was spent working our job here,

enjoying the warmer temps (high 60's),

and relaxing in our lounge chairs.

Thursday we had a short work day,

I took the truck and drove to my parents house,

and they took me into Salinas where..

I had a haircut,

met their financial advisor,

got put on their bank account,

and had a nice relaxing pedicure.

Friday was the first of 3 days off.

We spent it cleaning,

doing laundry,

and I was on the computer for hours.....

working on the other 'job'.

To remind you..

I agreed to help with accounting work

and be a consultant for the company that I retired from.

Normally it is an easy job, not too stressful,

and I can work from my recliner in my jammies :-)

All of this for $$ and health insurance.

I don't know how long it will go on, 

but for now, I'm not complaining!

Oh, and we also got taken out to lunch

by one of my former customers

who has his business just south of here.

We had a great lunch at Famous Dave's..

great barbeque!

Today we are taking a ride to the 

Elkhorn Slough to view some wildlife.

There is a nature center and a tour of the slough.

I'll post pictures and give a tour tomorrow!
