Morgan Hill, CA
Happy 2013 to everyone!
Our 2012 was filled with a few events..
Retirement and going full-time!
Who knows what places we'll see in 2013..
Yesterday we did 'what was deemed necessary' in the
workamping experience.
I got a call on the walkie-talkie that my assistance was
needed in the clubhouse.
The resort is having a New Year's Eve party tonight,
and I helped with setting up the great room..
The girls had made these slip covers
to go over the folding chairs to make
them a bit fancier.
My job was to get them pinned on,
and the bows pinned on the back.
We aren't going to the party,
as they are charging $65 each,
and we thought that was a bit steep.
George and I are staying in, having our own munchies,
and if we stay up long enough, some sparkling wine :-)
I took a few pictures around the resort while I was driving the cart..
Today we did some grocery shopping.
It was also time to upgrade our phones.
We both have androids,
George a Droid X2, and I had an HTC Incredible 2.
We both upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S III
We spent most of the afternoon getting them set up the way we like,
and learning new features to the phone.
Tomorrow we are going down to Prunedale,
to spend the day with my parents...
I will be rescuing my Mom from day long football games :-)
Happy New Year! $65 is a little steep, unless it is all you can eat and drink. Whats wrong with day long football games, that's when I get my best naps in. ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI will be glad to get rescued. If we don't go to a movie I have some cupboards that need reorganizing. Still want to come down?
ReplyDeleteMom
Happy New Year! Your New Years Eve plans seemed spot on.
ReplyDeleteA worthy mission, football rescue. SO glad I never need that. shhhh don't tell, we don't do football. Happy new phones to you both. I have a thunderbolt and will be interested in why you replaced yours and how you like them.
ReplyDeleteEverything is higher in California... :-) Happy New Year to you both!
ReplyDeleteWe would have stayed at home too. That does seem a bit steep but it probably was lovely. Especially with those fancy chair covers :) Good job!
ReplyDeleteI think I want a Galaxy III phone and you are the only ones I know that have one :) Hope you'll keep us posted on how you like them. I hate my current Droid, the Samsung Charge so I'm hoping they got it right this time.
Football? What's that? Oh yeah, that's that game they play on skates and make home runs when they put the puck through the hoop, right? You can tell we don't watch much sports... ;c)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
The slip covers look great! We spent our New Year's Eve at home too. Actually even managed to stay awake to watch the ball drop at midnight! Happy New Year to you both!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year. We arrived at our winter spot in Florida yesterday and got set up. We tried to stay awake for midnight but lost the battle. Sixty five dollars per ticket wouldn't fit our budget either.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2013! TM has driven me wacko with football this past week. lol...
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! We went to the club house here and their count down was at 9:00. We stayed up till after midnight with a toast of champagne and calls to friends and family.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you both. The Galaxy 3 is a very popular phone, i packed dozens and dozens of them this fall!
ReplyDeleteOur RV park party was free, 9:00 - midnight. They supplied hats, horns, free champagne, live band. We brought snacks to share. No way would we pay $65 for a New Year's Eve party. No budget for that.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Happy New Year to you and George!! Can you believe that we are both living our dream?? Two years ago right now we were counting down to our first rally, and we didn't even have our rigs yet. Wow. Sometimes I have to pinch myself just to make sure that I'm not actually dreaming for real!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I enjoy reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!! Glad you're liking you job.
