Traveling to Pensacola, FL

Walkabout Campground
Woodbine, GA

Yesterday we were at Camping World
in Myrtle Beach, SC to get our slides
looked at.

There really was nothing wrong with
them, so they said 'if it isn't broke, don't fix it!'

By 4 pm, we were able to shove off,
and make our way south.
We drove about 2 hours,
and found a WalMart in
Summerville, SC.

We walked across the street
and had dinner at Ruby Tuesdays..
it was pretty good!

Sleeping was a bit restless,
but we got going this morning
and pulled into

We had a simple setup, we didn't unhook,
and it was time for George to get
a haircut :-)

Not too long after,
Elaine & Rich Cochrane
showed up, and parked next to us.
They are on their way south
to Florida as well.

We had a cocktail with them,
then the cold (and yawns!)
chased us inside.

Tomorrow we have a long drive
to Fort Pickens Campground
where we'll stay for a week!

Looking forward to those
nice Florida sands and
beautiful bluegreen water :-)

  1. Ahhh! Looks so wonderful! :) I am SO ready to hit the road!!!

    Have a great trip tomorrow!

  2. George is really styling with that haircut!

How cool you met up with Elaine and Rick. They are so much fun.

You'll love Pensacola, we can't wait to go back.

  3. Looks like everybody I know stops at Walkabout now. They are great folks and it's sure convenient.

  4. Glad your travels are going well. We were concerned since you were late leaving Camping World.

    Safe Travels and Happy Trails....

  5. Safe travels to Florida! Camping World and Home Depot are my two favorites and usually cost me lots of $.

  6. That Florida sand at Fort Pickens is gorgeous!
    George is stylin' now :)

  7. Boy, you are sure makin it around.
How ya keeping that unit so clean?

  8. How nice to meet up with more friends along the way. Safe travels tomorrow.

  9. Safe travels! Can't wait to hear about Ft Pickens!

  10. Check out Topsail State Park in Santa Rosa Beach...the whole 30AHwy along Seaside it just beautiful! ENJOY those Emerald waters and that luscious white sand...and don't miss the Donut Hole :O)

  11. We went to the Pensacola AF museum twice when we were staying at the Escapees park in AL. Still did not see nearly everything.

So jealous you are in warm weather. Ourselves to blame - Len's kids in the south, mine in the northeast. It's out choice to spend Nov and Dec each year up here.
