Welcome to Welcome, MN

Checkers Campground
Welcome, MN

We finally got our Winegard Traveler dish installed.
This morning we settled up the bill,
and hooked up, and left Camping World
parking lot by 9 am.

Our next destination includes a real campground!

The GPS took us to Welcome, MN
via route 90 west.
Along the way we were treated to
some nice fall colors.

We also crossed over the
Mississippi river
when we went from Wisconsin
into Minnesota.

As we got closer to our destination
we found a lot of windmills..

We finally got to our first
campground of our full-time journey..

It is a small place, with
only 29 spaces.
We're in #10, a FHU pull through site.

There are only a few other RVrs here,
maybe because it's a bit chilly!

Not sure what is on the menu for
tomorrow.
If it's warm enough we will take a walk
around the place,
and explore
the tiny town of Welcome!

  1. I think everybody going west or east for that matter on the upper route stops in Welcome. I know we did. Easy to reach and the right price!

  4. I think we blew through that town last December on our way to Oregon and wore out our welcome.

Enjoy all that electricity and water, campgrounds feel so good after all that blacktop boondocking. :c)
