Houston, we have liftoff

Flying J
Hubbard, OH

Today was the day we've been
waiting for, for 3 years.

Yesterday was preparation day.
George put the bikes on the back..

..and moved the things from Harvey
that he wanted in the truck..

Our little buddy was getting impatient..

So today was the day!

We got all hooked up..

..the neighbors (cousins) came by to
help and send us off..

A few pictures of our departure..

Pulling out of our property
Kenny holding up the wires

Coming out of our street,
we just made it past a tree limb.

But finally, we're on the road!

We drove 5 hours, and
stopped for the night
at a Flying J.

Tomorrow, on to Elkhart, IN!

  17. Totally awesome.
My husband and I have just become interested in the RV life. He will retire in 3 and 1/2 years so I'm already selling the STUFF out of the house.
We have a lot to research and learn. I will be following your adventures and hopefully learning a lot.
Looks like your off to a great start.

  20. From a member of the Class of 2010, welcome to you members of the Class of 2012. As someone else remarked, just take it easy and smell the roses (or sometimes, diesel fuel).
