What a more appropriate place
to spend Cinco de Mayo,
than Houston.
We flew into Houston today
via Wilkes Barre, PA and
Philadelphia, PA.
Flights were uneventful and smooth.
We were picked up by
Bill & Connie (George's brother & sis-in-law)
They took us out to lunch
to a place called Genghis Mongolian Grill.
It was pretty good, and I could
stick to healthy eating there.
(I lost another pound this week!)
I did however, have a Corona Light.
It IS Cinco de Mayo!
We had a good time sitting around talking
to them all afternoon and into
the evening.
We ate a light dinner..
then there was a suggestion
to go have some frozen yogurt.
Dang..
I couldn't say no to that!
We went to a place called Menchies
On the way back,
we got to see the
BIG moon..
Pretty big!!
Tomorrow, more visiting, and George's niece will be coming over.
Good vacation!
Sounds like the fun is beginning!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteGeorge's brother sure looks like George.
ReplyDeleteYou've motivated me to try to keep to a diet. Had one relapse last week - lunch at a DQ! That could wipe out a whole weeks work.
Glad you had a fun day. Enjoy Houston and your family!
ReplyDeleteInitially I questioned the choice of restaurant given the date and your location. Your choice of beverage saved the day! Have a great visit.
ReplyDeleteSure look like brothers! One pound at a time! One step at a time.
ReplyDeleteA blogger friend who is in Mexico said that American's celebrate Cinco De Mayo more than the Mexicans do.
ReplyDeleteGreat moon pictures. Way better than mine. Guess I need either your camera or your settings.
Keep on enjoying your visit.
