On April 1st I decided it
was time to try and get
a bit of weight off..
by eating healthier.
As of today, I am 10# lighter,
and have lost 2" off my waist!
Woohoo!
We are cooking more healthy,
non-processed foods.

chicken vegetable soup with rice That's for dinner tonight! For lunch we made a great salad, with mixed greens, almonds, kidney beans, and blueberries. |
We are enjoying these new meals!
Congratulations on your weight loss!! I bet you feel a whole bunch better as well???? I have ordered the book...thanks for the information. I MUST do something. I just feel awful and hate the way I look. You have been a great motivator!!
ReplyDeleteYUMMMMMMM!! That food looks great. Post the recipe for that salad it looks fabulous. I assume the quiche has eggs which I no can do or I'd love to try that too. Congrats on your 10#. That's a lot. I know you must feel much better. Keep it up! You'll be a mere shadow of your former self by the time you retire. :-)
ReplyDeleteNo recipe for the salad per se...we just mixed together some salad mix & baby greens. We then topped it with kidney beans, sliced almonds, one sliced egg, and I put blueberries on mine. I mix together olive oil & balsamic vinegar for my dressing..lightly!
ReplyDeleteWe love salads :)
Way to go. Not only 10# lighter, but many times healthier!! It really is about getting healthy and enjoying retirement!!! Keep up the good work:o))
ReplyDeleteWe'll be calling you Twiggy in no time! Good work. :c)
ReplyDeleteI think with summer coming, we are all thinking about losing a few pounds. Every five pounds makes such a difference.
ReplyDeleteAll those meals look wonderful. :)
It's funny how the longer you keep emphasizing the healthy aspect of eating well, the less you want any of that old crappy food. I'm a little ahead of you in time, but have just made a big break thru on a long plateau. It took almost a month to lose four pounds, then another three came off in a week!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up. We should all make this our eating program for life.
Congratulations! I sure would like the quinoa crusted quiche recipe. Could you post it?
ReplyDeleteI,too, am now trying to lose A LOT! I really enjoy the more healthy food. Just have to keep remembering that.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing great!
Congratulations! 10 pounds and 2 inches is a great achievement! That salad looks good and refreshing with the warmer weather approaching.
ReplyDeletewell congrats on the waist and inches loss...wtg...the food looks divine...
ReplyDeleteA great milestone to celebrate! Keep it up.
