Winter has arrived

Woke up to 6" of snow
this morning..

George grumbled about shoveling,
the plow was on the John Deere
that was under 6' of water in September.

It is quite pretty,
as long as you are looking
out the back window.

The river has ice floating in it!

 After vacuuming, dusting, and
scrubbing the kitchen and bathroom,
I started the wash, while
George went for propane.
We have gone through
5 - 30# tanks since Jan. 1
Still holding steady :)

We decided to get out
and went to Logan's steakhouse
for a beer, peanuts, and a burger.

It was nice to get out
and talk about RV things :)
We are starting to research
getting a dish for satellite TV.
We almost have it nailed down :)

  1. When we got our new motor home, Al insisted we have an automatic dish installed right then and there. It turned out to be one of the best things we've purchased.

  2. We like the dome type we got at Camping World. Set it up, push a button and it searches for the signal. We really like one not roof mounted because if parked under trees (as we are now) it is not an issue.

Snow looks nice. I DON'T MISS IT!

  3. Wow, that is as much propane as we go through in two months or more, depending how cold it gets.

  4. The fallen snow looks so peaceful. It was about 80 here in Tampa today. My body is having a hard time believing that it's January.

  5. The snow pictures are lovely.
Glad you were able to go driving in it with no problems. Sorry to hear about the propane bills. OUCH!

But the days a ticking off and next year you may be
here in south Florida where it was 80 today. Great winter temperature for sure.

  6. We haven't had any satellite tv yet, John has been opposed but I think he is softening on the idea. Its not at the top of our list but maybe its moved up a few. I sure don't miss that white stuff.

  7. The snow pictures are beautiful, but glad we are not in the snow. It's in the 70's here in southern AZ. We have a roof mounted satellite and wouldn't be without it.

  9. Oh my! That's a lot of snow. I really do like snow. . . as long as I can just sit inside and enjoy the view and NOT have to get out and drive in it.

  10. The snow is pretty, and I can see as much as I want when I watch the news. I'm glad I'm not in it. I still have shore power and am using electric heaters. Here in CA it is beginning to warm up to 30/40 overnight.
