I was born on January 29, 1957,
in Bakersfield, California.
Sometimes I have to use a
calculator to remember how old
I'm getting to be....
...apparently my Mom does too! ;-)
Last night, George and I went
out to the movies to see
It was ok..
even though I like George Clooney..
he seems to play the same
type of role all the time.
Afterwards, we went to
for a nice dinner.
I had Sacchettoni
with broccoli and sun-dried tomatoes
in a cream sauce. Yum!
George had baked penne with meat sauce.
We ended the meal with
a piece of cheesecake.
On the way home we
stopped at the Blockbuster kiosk
and rented
'The Help'
and
'Ides of March'
(oh yeah, another typical
George Clooney movie).
The Help was terrific..
make sure you have lots of tissues.
It's been a nice birthday..
my Mom bought me
a gift card to a spa I love..
for a day of pampering!
I can't wait to use it!
sounds like you had a wonderful birthday :)....the Help was fantastic best movie ever I think....what a nice present from your momma :)..enjoy
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday you youngster!! Enjoy your day at the spa.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you. 55 seems sooo long ago, but I really don't feel that much older.
ReplyDeleteHappy 55th! Lucky you to have such a great birthday celebration AND to have a mother who is still alive.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteYou still look 29! What's your secret?
ReplyDeleteAnd to think, they say when you go full time, it takes 10 years off. You'll be getting carded everywhere you go. ;c)
Happy Birthday! I am not sure I can even remember being 55:(
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!! Dinner and three movies; sounds like a great day.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day! By the way 55 is a great age, just ask me! :)
ReplyDeletemost golfers hope to score their age and few do... but us younger RV'ers can easily drive our age... keep it on the double nickels...
ReplyDeleteWhat an enjoyable day. I'm drooling over your pictures of dinner!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. I too have to figure out how old each of my kids and grand kids are.
