Getting things ready

This morning, after eating
some breakfast,
George, Heather, and I
went into town to
get our marriage license!

Pretty quick process..
we were there not
more than 10 minutes.

After that, we dropped
by the Cherry Bean,
a coffeehouse that
my son, Adam works for.

Heather came with us,
and she went for a walk
down to the
John Steinbeck museum,
while we drove up to
the church to talk with
Pastor Hoff.

We went over the ceremony,
and some of the special
touches that he wants to do.
Cool!

After that, we went back and
picked up Heather.
She learned all about John Steinbeck.

We decided to take a drive
to Monterey,
to show her the Pacific Ocean.
She's never been to California before.

We went to Fisherman's Wharf.
The Sea Lions were in full force!

We also saw the pelicans..

from our window-side seat
at Domenicos..
a great seafood restaurant.

Then we walked on the wharf,
enjoying the sights and sounds.

Tomorrow..
manicures & pedicures for
Heather and me,
compliments of Mom!
