Today has been a quiet day.
We started out with a good house cleaning.
It's been pouring rain outside all day,
which we really need.
It makes it dark and dreary, however.
We decided it was a good day
to veg out and watch TV.
Lots of 'how-to' shows,
and a couple movies on HBO.
I was flipping channels,
and couldn't figure out
why there were so many
Lucille Ball shows on.
Ah ha, today would
have been her 100th birthday!
They showed 'Long, Long, Trailer',
which I know most RVrs have seen...
but I had not.
I had to laugh!!
We also have some sad news to share.
My cat, Milo,
had to be put down yesterday.
He lived a good life,
almost 15 years.
He was very weak toward the end,
losing a lot of weight,
and sleeping most all the time.
We thought it was more humane,
than to let him slip away.
We will miss him dearly.
Big ginger tabbies are my favorites. I've had several and loved every one of them. Sorry about your loss.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for the loss of Milo and sure that you will miss him dearly. I know how hard that decision is to make.
ReplyDeleteOh my, sorry to hear about your little friend. You had mentioned last week that the time was coming.
ReplyDeleteYea, Lucy was a hoot!
It is so hard to do the right thing for a treasured pet. We're sorry to hear the sad news about Milo. Hold on to those happy memories of him.

My heart and thoughts are with you as you adjust to life without Milo. I applaud you for performing that last act of love for him and letting him peacefully slip from this world to The Rainbow Bridge. Lucy! We recently acquired "The Long, Long Trailer" - I had not seen it in ages and Dave had never seen it. One of the retro TV stations we get was showing Lucy episodes all day, shows from "I Love Lucy" all the way through "The Lucy Show" - 100 episodes of Lucy for her b-day. What a hoot! Be at peace knowing Milo is happy in a place of sunshine and vitality.
ReplyDeleteso sorry for the loss of Milo...I also applaud you for loving him enough to know it was time to let him go...hes now bouncing across rainbow bridge playing with other fur kids...stay safe...

So sorry to hear about Milo. Just finally getting caught up on blogs. We haven't seen the Long Long Trailer, one of these days we will have to do that.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Milo. I know how tough it is to love them enough to let them go. You clearly gave him a wonderful life right to the end.
ReplyDeleteWe're so sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet Milo. We've been in your shoes and know how hard that is. We're thinking of you.
