A bit of an explanation is in order, perhaps...
George has property that he lived in before we got together. It includes his parent's house (his Mom died in 2005, and his Father died in 2007), and a house trailer, all on 2 acres on the Susquehanna River. It really is nice property.
So...we painted the master bedroom yesterday and the 'middle' bedroom today. We stopped and ordered new carpet for both of those rooms. We used a Lowe's gift card from George's daughter to buy some wire shelving, a new shower door, and a new front screen door. We also picked up some inexpensive window treatments.
I had every intention of taking pictures of the progress, but once we got started, neither one of us took the time to do that! We were just happy to get both rooms painted :-)
Next weekend we plan on putting up the shelving, window shades, doors, and, oh yeah, a new and improved mailbox. I think that the upgrades will go a long way to marketing the house in the spring!
Very nice! That's a lot of work done in one weekend!! You are off to a great start. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! Good plan and getting started is the hardest part, but then what else can you do in PA in the winter? :c)
ReplyDeleteGood job! I agree thats a lot of painting to do in one weekend! I'm so very much slower! I painted one wall today. First coat only and then ran out of paint. But i also did the wash and worked on some sculpture work, grocery shopped and cooked a yummy dinner. (Guess one wall was enough!)
ReplyDeleteway to get going on the projects!!!
ReplyDeleteUggg! Painting!! You guys worked hard FOR SURE! The cutting in is the worst part, and for some reason I always get stuck doing it! HA!

ReplyDeleteI hate to paint, I hate to paint, I hate to paint. Did I mention, I hate to paint? My hats off to you two doing all you did in one weekend!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Saggy dragons :) :) And you know, it's SO true. But I wonder if you get one when you're 85, if it will look fresh the rest of your life. Hmmmm....
