First day of work

Coyote Valley RV Resort
Morgan Hill, CA

After training off and on this week,
I was ready today to work on my own in the office here.

My work hours are 8 am to 7 pm, 11 hours!
The day went by fairly quickly, however.
My duties are to check new arrivals in,
answer the phone and make reservations,
and sell items from the store.
While I'm inside, George is outside,
escorting people to their sites,
filling propane,
and running around in the golf cart :-)

Last night there was a wine tasting in the clubhouse,
so George and I went.
The wine, Mann Cellars, was pretty good.
As you can see in the picture above,
we sell wine in the store too :-)

George and I have been keeping up our walking,
and have gotten our bikes out to ride.
We rode down the bike trail behind the resort,
about 6 miles round trip.

Tomorrow we'll be down to Salinas to spend the day with Mom,
go to church and lunch.

The weather is beautiful, sunny, low 70's.
It's getting warmer, time to find a place to hike!

  1. At least you are inside with climate control and George is stuck out in all that fresh air!

  2. Even at 11 hours, a one day work week is awesome! Your store is my kind of place! A wine section...yay! :)

  4. I'd be thrilled to work one 11 hour day in exchange for a site. Incredible that they must have 7 sets of work campers, one for each day. Sounds like the know how to keep their workers happy.

  5. Back to work already? You haven't had enough of a break yet for those Amazon blisters on your feet to heal...

Sounds like this is a slightly less demanding job, from the smile in your picture, it looks like you're having fun! :c)

  6. Sounds like a nice job for the winter. Do you get an employee discount on the wine?! Say 'hi' to Tinkerbell!

  7. Thinking maybe even I could do that. Maybe!

  8. One day on... six days off, sounds like a pretty good deal! Just don't drink up all the inventory. :)

Sounds like the weather is nice too. Enjoy!

  9. Sounds like a good gig. It will be nice to have off all those days. I keep saying driving the golf cart is a lot of hard work.)
