Happy Easter! He is risen!

Pittman Visitor Center
Altoona, FL

He is risen indeed!

Our last Sunday in Florida.
We went for the last time to the local Lutheran church
that we've been attending,
to the Easter service.
It was really nice!

They have a tradition, that every time you hear the word "Alleluia", you ring a bell.
Of course, we didn't bring one, as we don't have one :-)
There are a lot of  "Alleluias" on Easter, so there was a lot of ringing going on!

Their other tradition was to cover a cross with flowers.
People had brought cut flowers from home,
and they also handed a lily to each congregant that didn't bring one.
The results were beautiful!

Afterwards, we found a place to have Easter brunch.
The Lakeside Inn is a beautiful old hotel,
continuously operated since 1883,
and sits aside Lake Dora.

There are some great guest houses on the property,
and I'm sure they're a bit pricey.

It's a good thing we didn't find this gem of a place until our last day..
brunch was $98.00 for both of us!!
That included gratuity and a complimentary Mimosa.
Yikes!

Our neighbors left this morning,
heading to their summer job in Illinois.
We'll sure miss them!
The spot looks empty beside us..

We're all ready to go.
Finishing wash today,
and tomorrow we'll hook up and head to Jekyll Island.

Hope the tires aren't flat on one side!
